Nebulisers are used to convert liquid into aerosol droplets/mist which is then suitable for inhalation. They are commonly used to give higher doses of reliver medication in emergency situations, in hospitals or GP surgeries.

Nebulisers are often used to manage exacerbations and for long-term treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), management of cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, HIV/AIDS and symptomatic relief for asthma suffers.
