Insect Repellents

DEET (diethyl-meta-toluamide) based insect repellents are generally recognised to be the most effective way to keep bugs at bay. Higher concentration DEET based formulas are ideal for use in the highest risk enviroments, where there is a risk of insect-bourne diseases, such as malaria, dengue dever, or West Nile Virus. Lower Concentration DEET based insect repellents are ideal for low infestation areas and cities.

Natural based insect repellents are also available, these use an extract of the eucalyptus plant as an active ingredient. These natural repellents are ideal for use on children and in areas where the risk of Malaria, or other disease, is relatively low.
